The short version
This website collects your email address, and your country if you choose to tell us, only when you sign up for our newsletter. We use your email address to send you hackathon news and your country to see where interest is coming from. We don’t sell them, share them for advertising, or use them for anything else. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who runs this site
The International Missing Person Hackathon (IMPH) is run by Yunison Technologies LLC (“Newrali”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers imph.newrali.com only.
What we collect and why
If you’re just browsing, our hosting provider sees your IP address and basic request details, such as your browser type and the pages you request. We use these only to serve pages and block abuse, and we keep them for 30 days. We use no tracking cookies, no analytics that identify you, and no ad tech.
If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it to send you updates about the hackathon: upcoming events, how to take part, and results. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor it immediately.
You can also tell us your country when you sign up. It’s optional, and we use it to see where interest in the hackathon is coming from.
That’s everything this site collects.
Who we share it with
We use two service providers to run the newsletter:
- Resend sends our emails.
- Attio is where we store our subscriber list.
Both process your email address and country only on our behalf, under data processing agreements. They aren’t allowed to use them for their own purposes. Our emails may include a small tracking pixel and tracked links that tell us whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. Unsubscribing stops it.
We don’t share your email address or country with event partners, sponsors, or law enforcement agencies. We would only disclose them if we were legally required to.
Taking part in the hackathon
This site doesn’t handle event registration or case work. If you join a hackathon, registration and investigation happen on the Newrali platform, which is covered by Newrali’s privacy policy. Signing up for the newsletter doesn’t create a Newrali account.
Don’t send information about a missing person through this site or in reply to our newsletter. If you have information about a missing person, contact the police in the relevant country.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address and country until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. After that, we remove them within 30 days. We may keep a record that you unsubscribed so we don’t email you again.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, at any time. Email privacy@newrali.com with “IMPH” in the subject line. We’ll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Where your data lives
Resend and Attio may store and process your data outside your country, including in the United States. When data crosses borders, we use recognized legal safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
The newsletter is intended for people aged 16 and over. If we learn that a child has signed up, we’ll delete their address.
Changes
If we change what this site collects, we’ll update this page before the change takes effect and let subscribers know by email.
